Deploy high-durability and energy-efficient solutions for the complex slurry transportation and aeration tasks typical of modern Indian flotation cells.
India is experiencing an unprecedented industrial expansion. Rapidly rising demand for steel, aluminum, and electricity has driven massive volume increases in iron ore flotation, bauxite extraction, copper concentration, and coal washing. Industrial zones across Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka are operating under strict operational efficiency targets to keep up with national demand.
However, processing low-grade minerals requires advanced flotation systems that generate substantial froth. Standard heavy-duty slurry pumps consistently fail under these conditions. Entrained air forms a dense pocket at the eye of the impeller, causing air locks, surging discharge, and hopper overflows. This leads to costly downtime, loss of valuable minerals, and increased maintenance overheads.
To solve this, industrial operators require specialized Foam Slurry Pumps. Engineered with an open conical hopper and a unique tangential inlet, these pumps allow frothy slurry to enter the impeller smoothly while venting out trapped air, ensuring continuous slurry handling and process stability.
Indian processing environments present severe abrasiveness and chemical corrosiveness. Traditional high-chrome cast iron impellers and liners wear down rapidly in acidic flotation circuits or high-silica coal slues, requiring replacements every few months.
Shandong Zhangqiu Blower Co., Ltd. addresses this challenge by pioneering ceramic slurry pump technologies (exemplified by the TZJK-TD series ceramic slurry pump). Silicon carbide composite liners offer up to 4 times the service life of metal liners in highly corrosive and abrasive duties. This significantly reduces the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for mineral processing operations.
For operations requiring metallic systems, our high-chrome alloy impellers are manufactured with proprietary countercurrent cooling and anti-sticky wear technologies, assuring maximum uptime and structural reliability.

Handling flotation froth is a complex fluid dynamics challenge. In mineral beneficiation processes like froth flotation for copper, lead, zinc, or iron, chemical reagents generate a highly stable, mineral-laden froth. When this fluid enters standard centrifugal pumps, the mechanical shear causes air bubbles to separate from the liquid phase. These air bubbles collect in the center of the impeller, creating an air pocket that restricts the flow of slurry. This causes pump surging, flow loss, and potential hopper overflow.
Our Foam Slurry Pumps address this problem with an integrated engineering system. The key components include:
This design maintains stable flow rates and consistent pump performance, eliminating the surging and priming issues that disrupt mineral recovery circuits.
Beyond slurry pumps, Shandong Zhangqiu Blower provides aeration support for flotation circuits using our high-efficiency roots and centrifugal blowers. High-pressure tri-lobe roots blowers (such as our ZG Series) and high-speed centrifugal systems provide precise, oil-free aeration to maintain consistent bubble generation in the flotation cell.
By coordinating the foam slurry extraction pumps with stable air supply systems, operators can control the size, density, and flow rate of flotation bubbles. This balance is critical for optimizing grade recovery in modern gold, copper, and iron processing facilities.
