Explore our premium range of heavy-duty submerged slurry pumps, high-pressure roots blowers, and air system solutions engineered for peak efficiency.
In modern industrial operations, managing abrasive, high-density, and highly corrosive slurries is one of the most demanding challenges faced by engineers. Submerged and under-liquid slurry pumps represent the thin line between operational continuity and catastrophic system downtime. Designed to operate completely or partially submerged within sumps, tanks, and open lagoons, these specialized pumps solve the physical limitations of conventional surface-mounted pump options, notably eliminating priming issues and suction lift limits.
Globally, the demand for under-liquid slurry systems has experienced rapid growth. This growth is heavily driven by increasing regulatory scrutiny on wastewater discharge, the expansion of deep-pit mining operations, and the modernization of desulfurization systems in coal-fired power stations. Leading multinational corporations and local EPC contractors alike demand pumps that not only perform under extreme hydraulic pressures but also display high wear-resistance against coarse particulate solids.
Over Half a Century of Engineering Excellence, Pioneering Technical Milestones, and Global Market Leadership.
Founded as Shandong Zhangqiu Blower Works, Shandong Zhangqiu Blower Co., Ltd. (ZCBC) boasts over 50 years of design, manufacturing technology, and practical engineering experience. As a pioneering powerhouse in China's industrial equipment industry, ZCBC established two Sino-Japanese Joint-ventures and one USA branch, becoming the first enterprise in China's blower and industrial pump sector to establish an overseas operational branch. Our core strategy remains clear: “Develop main business, pioneer new fields and innovate, cooperate to be a great company”, all guided by our relentless working concept, “Do the best”.
In 2005, we expanded our footprint by transitioning to a newly built, high-standard modern industrial park. Spanning over 430,000 m², this facility is equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, providing an expansive environment for collaborative global engineering projects. On July 7th, 2011, ZCBC achieved a historic milestone by listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 002598).
By 2020, our parent company realized an annual operating income of 1.5 billion yuan and a net profit of 150 million yuan. Today, ZCBC operates 20 holding companies and has established four massive manufacturing bases across Jiangsu Wuxi, Guangdong Dongguan, Hunan Chenzhou, and Gansu Jinchang, supported by dedicated R&D hubs in Beijing, Shanghai, Shijiazhuang, and Wuxi.

Discover how localized supply integration, automation, and industrial clusters deliver unmatched performance-to-cost advantages.
ZCBC's engineering department bridges the gap between customization and speed. Utilizing advanced 3D CAD modeling and finite element analysis (FEA), we provide complete design layouts and tailored system drawing files within 24 hours of receiving draft concepts or raw customer parameters.
China's highly integrated supply chains allow ZCBC to secure premium raw materials, such as high-chromium wear alloys, duplex stainless steels, and specialized elastomers, at lower costs. Combining casting, thermal treatment, machining, and testing in one localized cluster ensures superior efficiency and quality control.
Equipped with nearly 100 sets of imported CNC machining centers (including Japanese and German five-axis lines), three-axis coordinate coordinate measuring systems, and CAT (Computer Aided Testing) software, ZCBC reduces physical defects to near-zero levels. This delivers optimal alignment for pump shafts and minimizes vibration during submerged operation.
Submerged and under-liquid slurry pumps are not one-size-fits-all devices. Choosing the correct hydraulic configuration and wear material depends entirely on the fluid mechanics of the target application. At ZCBC, we specialize in customizing pumps for challenging industrial applications:
A look at ZCBC's technological milestones, global certifications, and commitment to international quality standards.
ZCBC is the chief drafting unit of China's national standards for industrial blowers and works as the Executive Director of the China General Machinery Industry Association (Fan Branch). Our technical team includes industry-leading researchers, engineers enjoying state allowances, and top-tier doctoral experts introduced through prestigious engineering projects.
Through our dedicated postgraduate workstations and collaborative research projects with Tsinghua University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Shandong University, ZCBC continuously updates its slurry pump hydraulic designs. We have been authorized with 69 patents (including 5 major invention patents) and 2 software copyrights. Our technology includes countercurrent cooling, wear-resistant impeller geometries, and specialized oil-lubrication mechanical seals.
To ensure global compatibility, ZCBC maintains a rigorous quality control framework. We have passed international certifications including:

For international buyers, sourcing high-efficiency submerged pumps involves balancing initial capital expenditure (CAPEX) with long-term operational costs (OPEX). Slurry pumps are subject to high wear, making replacement parts, maintenance, and power consumption critical factors in the total cost of ownership (TCO).
ZCBC provides a simplified procurement path for global markets. Exporting to over 70 countries—including the United States, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Southeast Asia—we offer turnkey engineering services, prompt spare parts supply, and localized customer service support. Our engineers supply comprehensive technical specifications and customized installation support, ensuring the pumps integrate cleanly into your existing industrial setups.
Building success on unity, respecting technical talent, and maintaining a dedication to high quality standards.
At ZCBC, we value the development of our people. By aligning personal growth with corporate goals, our team is motivated to maintain high standards of engineering quality. “Cohesion produces strength, unity brings glory” is the core principle that drives our manufacturing teams.
ZCBC provides competitive incentives to attract top engineering talent. This commitment is supported by our modern postgraduate workstations and regular technical exchanges with Tsinghua University and other institutions, driving continuous design improvement.
Our guiding concept, “Do it, do the best”, informs all stages of our operations. From raw material sourcing to final testing, this approach ensures our products meet international performance and durability standards.
Answers to common technical and engineering questions about the operation and selection of submerged slurry pumps.
A submerged slurry pump (such as a vertical cantilever sump pump) features a motor mounted above the liquid level, with the pump casing submerged and connected via a long vertical shaft. This design keeps the motor isolated from the fluid. In contrast, a submersible slurry pump has a close-coupled motor that is hermetically sealed and operates completely submerged in the liquid alongside the pump casing.
High-chrome alloys (like Cr27) offer high impact toughness, making them suitable for slurries containing large, heavy solids. Specialized ceramic components provide superior wear and corrosion resistance when handling fine, highly abrasive, or acidic particulates, though they are more sensitive to high-impact mechanical shock.
Non-clogging vertical pumps utilize semi-open, vortex, or recessed impeller designs that allow passage of large solids. An integrated agitator or cutter fan can also be fitted at the suction inlet to break up compacted sediments and keep slurries in suspension.
Longer shaft lengths allow pumping from deeper sumps but introduce potential vibration issues. Cantilever designs typically limit shaft lengths to under 2.4 meters without lower guide bearings. For deeper sumps, tail pipes can be added to the suction inlet to draw liquid from lower points without extending the physical shaft.
The ZJQ series features a heavy-duty, wear-resistant design with built-in bottom agitators. This setup helps lift settled sand and slurry into the pump suction, making it effective for deep-pit mining, pond dredging, and clearing settled tailing dams.
