Engineered for maximum reliability under extreme temperature and pressure conditions, tailored for Saudi Arabia's challenging heavy-duty environments.
Under the ambitious roadmap of Saudi Vision 2030, the mining and mineral processing sector has been declared the "third pillar" of the Kingdom's national industrial strategy. Riyadh, functioning as the financial, logistical, and technical headquarters of this transformation, has witnessed massive investment in infrastructure, mining automation, and localized supply chains. The Arabian Shield, spanning vast regions of the Kingdom, holds an estimated $1.3 trillion in untapped mineral value, including substantial deposits of gold, copper, phosphate, zinc, and industrial minerals.
Processing these valuable minerals requires highly specialized separation technologies, with flotation cells sitting at the core of the extraction circuit. Flotation naturally generates heavily aerated, viscous froths containing abrasive solids. Standard centrifugal pumps suffer from rapid degradation, air-binding, and dramatic losses in performance when trying to pump these frothy mixtures. As a leading exporter to Riyadh, we provide specifically engineered Foam Slurry Pumps designed to break down entrained air and transport heavy mineral froths without cavitation, guaranteeing continuous throughput for mines and processing plants across Saudi Arabia.
In standard mineral beneficiation circuits, chemical reagents and aerating gases are introduced into slurry tanks to selectively attach target minerals to bubbles. This process creates a stable foam that rises to the top of the flotation cell. Collecting and transporting this foam to the next processing stage is notoriously difficult for traditional centrifugal pumping systems due to the following physical mechanisms:
As conventional impellers spin, the low-density air bubbles within the slurry migrate toward the low-pressure zone located at the eye of the impeller. Over time, these bubbles coalesce into a stagnant air pocket. This block is known as "air-binding." Once air-bound, the pump loses prime, flow rates drop to zero, and the system suffers from severe vibration and overheating, resulting in catastrophic failure of the mechanical seals.
Frothy slurries are non-Newtonian fluids. Their apparent viscosity varies depending on shear rates and the volume of entrained gas. Traditional slurry pumps are calibrated for solid-liquid mixtures rather than solid-liquid-gas phases, causing massive over-consumption of electricity and premature wear on the impellers when handling foam.
To overcome these challenges, our foam slurry pumps utilize a specialized design. The assembly includes a large, conical hopper with a tangential inlet to induce a vortex action, which mechanically separates the air from the slurry before it reaches the impeller. Furthermore, the impeller features an integrated inducer blade. This configuration applies high shear force to the incoming mixture, compressing the bubbles and forcing the gas out of the slurry stream, allowing the pump to maintain continuous head and capacity.
Established with over 50 years of design, manufacturing, and R&D engineering excellence, Shandong Zhangqiu Blower Co., Ltd. (formerly Shandong Zhangqiu Blower Works) is a globally recognized manufacturer of industrial fluid machinery. We have pioneered advanced aeration and heavy-duty pumping technologies, establishing two Sino-Japanese Joint-ventures and a dedicated branch in the USA. We are proud to be the first company in China's blower and industrial pump industry to successfully establish oversea branches, achieving unmatched domestic market occupancy.
In July 2011, ZCBC achieved a historic milestone by listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 002598). In 2020, our parent company realized an operating income of 1.5 billion yuan and a profit of 150 million yuan. Today, we operate 20 holding companies, managing four major manufacturing bases across Jiangsu Wuxi, Guangdong Dongguan, Hunan Chenzhou, and Gansu Jinchang, supported by dedicated R&D centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Shijiazhuang, and Wuxi.
Our commitment to rigorous design standards and state-of-the-art metallurgy gives our Riyadh clients distinct performance advantages.
We utilize ultra-high chrome wear-resistant alloys (Cr27, Cr30) and silicon carbide ceramic linings to withstand both the physical abrasion of mineral solids and the chemical corrosion of flotation reagents.
Our engineering centers collaborate closely with Tsinghua University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and China University of Mining and Technology, injecting advanced hydraulic physics into all our designs.
Our manufacturing processes are fully certified under ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO50001, and ISO10012, and our export products fully comply with CE, mining safety marks, and Saudi SABER requirements.
Providing specialized mechanical equipment to crucial mining, water, and infrastructure projects across the region.
In the vast mining operations of the Arabian Shield, gold, copper, and zinc are extracted using froth flotation. Our specialized foam slurry pumps handle the highly viscous, metal-laden froth collected from the flotation cells, feeding the concentrate directly into thickeners and filter presses without air-binding or overflow waste.
Saudi Arabia is a global leader in phosphate production. Processing coarse phosphate rock generates coarse slurry matrices that require continuous aeration and agitation. Our multi-stage Roots blowers supply stable, high-volume air for flotation aeration, while our wear-resistant vertical pumps manage waste slurries in underflow sumps.
Riyadh's rapid urban expansion demands advanced municipal infrastructure. ZCBC's Roots blowers, Screw blowers, and high-efficiency PMSM Direct Drive Turbo Blowers provide reliable, low-noise oil-free air to municipal wastewater treatment facilities, optimizing oxygen transfer rates while reducing energy costs by up to 30% compared to traditional blowers.
For chemical manufacturing centers, ZCBC provides comprehensive turnkey systems, including MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) crystallization and evaporation units. Our systems optimize wastewater recycling, allowing chemical plants to achieve Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) in line with Saudi environmental protection guidelines.
As industrial automation and sustainability take center stage under Saudi Arabia's National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), ZCBC is continuously innovating to deliver high-performance, future-ready fluid systems:
